Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing & Education Specialist to address coding quality and compliance across healthcare records. The role is fully remote with a flexible schedule and involves audits, education program development, and customer-focused problem solving.

You will present coding and compliance topics to coders and providers, develop learning resources, and stay current with regulatory changes while collaborating with clients and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing with majority in auditing.
• 3+ years of Professional Fee education creation and presentation.
• Multi-Specialty coding/auditing experience.
• CPC.
• CPMA (preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional fee coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides rationale explaining changes with references and documentation locations.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to meet workflow and resolution targets.
• Develops and delivers virtual coder education programs and resources.
• Identifies coding trends and knowledge gaps and develops targeted educational content.
• Collaborates with leadership and clients to design educational materials and tools.
• Serves as subject matter expert on coding and compliance topics.
