Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to audit professional fee coding and provide clear rationale for changes. This fully remote role offers a flexible schedule for an experienced coder with a commitment to accuracy.

You will work with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, and EMR systems like Epic and Cerner, ensuring regulatory alignment and educating coders. The role supports remote work with interest in ~20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.
• CPC (required)
• CPMA (preferred)
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other prevalent EMRs

Responsibilities

• Performs Professional Fee coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers for accurate coding.
• Provides rationale explaining changes with references and documentation location.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases concurrently to ensure workflow and case resolution.
• Educates coders through the auditing process.
• Adheres to AHIMA code of ethics.
• Demonstrates customer-service focus and professionalism.
• Manages high complexity of work and decision making.
• Exhibits strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills.
