Hitachi Energy USA INC. is seeking a Production Engineer in Raleigh, NC to drive operational excellence and process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency while supporting new product introductions and production transfers. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering with a focus on Lean/Six Sigma methods, root-cause analysis, and data-driven decision making to deliver reliable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
• Experience with process improvement, troubleshooting, and manufacturing optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with production metrics, process capability analysis, and root cause investigation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
• Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, cost, quality, and throughput.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues, quality concerns, and process interruptions.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, standard work instructions, and process specifications.
• Partner with Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams to improve overall plant performance.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and production transfers.
• Investigate equipment performance and recommend upgrades or process enhancements.
• Monitor production KPIs and develop action plans to achieve operational targets.
• Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
