Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a Process Optimization Engineer to join our team in South Boston, Virginia.

You will drive Lean initiatives, optimize production processes, and support cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 2 years of process/manufacturing engineering experience, with strong analytical and data-analysis skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in process/manufacturing engineering.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communicator across diverse teams and disciplines.
Proficient in engineering software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Monitor production flow, operator movement, and equipment layout.
Drive continuous improvement using Lean methodologies.
Lead Kaizen events to enhance efficiency.
Develop and maintain Work Instructions and Standard Work documentation.
Collaborate with teams across production, ITM, maintenance, quality, and procurement.
Identify and execute CAPEX and cost-reduction projects.
