Job summary

Ethos is seeking experienced production engineers who can help train their language model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. You will run or review production incidents, craft blameless postmortems and root-cause analyses, and improve incident playbooks and reports.

This is a fully remote role in the United States with a flexible commitment of 5–20 hours per week. Compensation is $80 per hour, and the start date is ASAP.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as a Site Reliability Engineer, Incident Commander, or production/on-call engineering lead
• Direct ownership of writing or reviewing blameless postmortems and root-cause analyses
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Run or review production incidents and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows
• Create, evaluate, and refine blameless postmortems and root-cause analyses
• Develop and improve remediation action-item trackers, SLO and error-budget reports, and reliability review decks
