Job summary

Work’sTruly is seeking a Product Security Expert to join remotely. The role focuses on defending systems by managing access, auditing configurations, and improving security controls while aligning with engineering teams to deploy secure services daily.

Candidates should have strong Linux administration skills, experience with cloud environments (IaaS/PaaS), and a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities and reporting security findings. A collaborative, long-term commitment is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with server virtualization, IaaS and PaaS cloud environments (AWS, GCE, Digital Ocean, Heroku).
• Strong system administration and network security skills.
• Hands-on with network troubleshooting, firewall administration, and network protocols.
• Knowledge of information security policies.
• Proficiency with Linux systems (Ubuntu).
• Passion for and ability to work with engineering team releasing secure software services daily.

Responsibilities

• Define access privileges, control structures, and resources.
• Recognize problems by identifying abnormalities; reporting violations.
• Implement security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
• Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
• Upgrade system by implementing and maintaining security controls.
• Keep users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
