Job summary

Index Analytics, LLC, a Baltimore-based health consulting firm serving the federal government, seeks a Product Owner to support government clients in the Baltimore and DC Metro Area. You will collaborate with customers to define requirements, create a product understanding, and communicate to business and technical audiences to deliver solutions.

Using Lean- Agile principles and SAFe, the Product Owner will manage product development and focus on delivering value through minimal viable products.

Qualifications

• US citizen or authorized to work in the US; must pass a government Public Trust.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline required.
• 8+ years’ experience managing requirements and backlog with agile teams.
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodology.
• Ability to diagnose business problems and create roadmaps and timelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work with engineering and analytics teams.
• Experience with Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services or federal agencies is a plus.
• Remote position with occasional travel 5–10%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to build a product roadmap aligned with vision.
• Prioritize epics, features, stories, and bugs to drive value.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements and user stories.
• Develop team roadmap and support delivery commitments.
• Foster a customer‑focused mindset and understand user needs.
• Work with development teams to implement and accept user stories.
• Coordinate with other product owners, scrum masters, program leadership, and customers.
• Demonstrate product functionality to stakeholders and refine through SAFe ceremonies.
