Job summary

United Data Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Product Owner to maximize product value by managing the backlog and aligning features with business goals.

You will bridge business stakeholders and the development team, translating needs into actionable requirements and driving sprint execution. You will own the backlog, refine items, collaborate with leadership on roadmap, and ensure user stories meet acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in Product Owner/BA roles in Agile environments.
• Strong Agile/Scrum knowledge with backlog management.
• Translate business needs into detailed requirements and user stories.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with SaaS/ERP/COTS is a plus.
• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence and backlog/sprint tracking.
• 1–3 years as Product Owner/BA in similar roles.
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and docs.
• Hands-on QA testing and validating requirements.
• Collaboration with developers and cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate meetings, demos, and training; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to align on product vision and goals.
• Translate objectives into initiatives and maintain a clear roadmap.
• Define functional and non-functional requirements with stakeholders.
• Document processes, user stories, and acceptance criteria clearly.
• Own and refine the product backlog based on value and impact.
• Refine backlog items for sprint planning clarity.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business and technical teams.
• Balance priorities across departments to meet goals.
• Plan sprints with Scrum Master and development team.
• Participate in sprint reviews and retrospectives to improve delivery.
• Use Jira/Confluence to track epics, stories, bugs, and progress.
• Ensure transparency in sprint status, impediments, and deliverables.
• Represent customer voice by gathering feedback for decisions.
• Advocate for excellent UX in collaboration with design/engineering.
• Use data to validate decisions and measure KPIs.
• Identify optimization opportunities and iterate on outcomes.
• Coordinate with dev and QA for releases; define release goals.
