Job summary

Oomnitza, a leading Enterprise Technology Management platform, seeks a Product Owner in San Francisco to drive throughput alongside the engineering team. You will orchestrate the backlog, resolve blockers, and keep work prioritized across strategic priorities, customer escalations, and technical debt.

You’ll run ceremonies, translate validated solutions into well-formed user stories with acceptance criteria, and collaborate with Customer Success to triage issues and slot work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years as Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Technical Program Manager in a SaaS B2B environment.
• Strong knowledge of agile and scrum methodologies with practical judgment.
• Ability to prioritize across strategic, customer, and technical inputs with clear reasoning.
• Sharp blockers-detection instincts and effective escalation without drama.
• Technical literacy to read API specs and discuss architecture for backlog choices.
• Strong written and verbal communication; clear, structured thinking.
• Detail-oriented, organized backlog management and two-week planning.
• Collaborative, low-ego teammate focused on team throughput.
• SaaS platform and API integration experience; IT Asset Management or ITSM exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering backlog and maintain a ready-to-work state with features, escalations, debt, and bugs.
• Prioritize across strategic priorities, customer escalations, and technical debt with clear tradeoffs.
• Identify blockers early and elevate to unblock the team with minimal delivery impact.
• Run daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives to surface issues.
• Collaborate with Product Engineers to translate solutions into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Work with Customer Success to triage escalations and slot work appropriately.
• Set realistic delivery expectations and provide honest updates on shipping, risks, and reasons.
• Maintain a trust-based relationship with engineering and advocate for clarity and focus.
