Job summary

Chess.com is seeking a product-focused engineer to own the product end-to-end, plan features from learner feedback, and ship code for iOS and Android apps. You will use agentic AI coding tools as your primary development environment to act as a force multiplier.

Qualifications

Built and shipped apps or websites with real users.
Experience using AI coding tools to build real features.
Genuine interest in chess and teaching the game.
Ability to own product decisions without explicit direction.

Responsibilities

Own the product end-to-end: plan features, review feedback, prioritize, and engage learners.
Ship code for iOS/Android apps using agentic AI coding tools as the primary environment.
Prototype ideas quickly, explore mechanics, automate mundane tasks, and iterate.
Design what's next using data, feedback, and judgment to improve learning.
Stay close to users by talking with learners and teachers regularly.
Run the business side: track metrics and ensure healthy product growth.
