Job summary

Chess.com is seeking a Senior Product Manager to shape the core product roadmap and drive engagement for players of all levels. You will partner with leadership to define near-term plans and long-term vision for the Chess.com experience, aligning teams across engineering, design, and analytics.

You will lead with data, leverage AI prototyping, and communicate clearly in a globally remote environment, owning metrics and delivering high-impact, player-focused features.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in product management shipping consumer‑facing products.
• Strong chess product sense and ability to tailor UX for different player levels.
• High-velocity written communicator across design, engineering, stakeholders, and executives.

Responsibilities

• Shape the core product roadmap and vision with leadership, defining near-term and long-term plans to delight players.
• Sharpen ideas with the team, incorporate feedback, and push back when needed to improve the work.
• Operate in public across time zones, communicating openly in async channels and aligning stakeholders.
• Partner with engineering to shape the technical approach, write crisp specs, and drive delivery.
• Own engagement metrics, build intuition for drivers, run experiments, and prioritize with data.
• Use AI to prototype, de-risk, and accelerate, bringing working artifacts into discussions.
