Placements24 is seeking a data-driven Procurement Analyst to join our forward-thinking procurement team in Randburg, Gauteng. The role focuses on data insights, strategic sourcing support, and procurement optimization through rigorous analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Data Science, or similar.
• 2+ years of experience in procurement, analytics, or financial analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with large datasets and complex information.
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with ERP and procurement software is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to convey complex data clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects; remote work experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track spend, supplier performance, and contract compliance.
• Support strategic sourcing with market intelligence, cost modeling, and supplier analysis.
• Assist in development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
• Monitor contract compliance and identify risks or deviations.
• Collaborate with procurement and finance to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Contribute to budgeting and cost reduction efforts.
• Research market trends and supplier capabilities to inform decisions.
• Utilize data analysis tools to enhance reporting and insights.
