Job summary

Eis group usa is seeking a highly organized Processing Archivist for a full-time contract. You will manage archival materials, preserve historical records, and create finding aids and inventories. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Archival Studies, History, Library Science, Information Science or related field.
• 2-3 years of archival processing, library collections or records management experience.
• Knowledge of archival arrangement, description and preservation practices.
• Experience maintaining inventories, metadata, finding aids, or digital records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital documentation tools.
• Familiarity with archival databases or CMS is preferred.
• Strong research, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, evaluate, and organize archival materials and records.
• Arrange and describe collections following archival standards.
• Create and maintain finding aids, inventories, and collection descriptions.
• Assess preservation requirements and proper handling/storage of materials.
• Maintain databases, metadata, and processing documentation.
• Support digitization and verify digital records.
• Collaborate with library staff, researchers, and records managers.
• Retrieve materials for authorized researchers and maintain confidentiality.
• Monitor schedules and meet project deadlines.
• Recommend workflow improvements for cataloging and collection management.
