Placements24 is seeking a Process Development Engineer to join an innovative team in a fully remote capacity. The role focuses on conceptualizing, designing, and piloting new chemical processes from laboratory scale to initial industrial implementation, leveraging advanced simulation tools and data analytics to drive breakthroughs.

The position requires a strong background in chemical engineering, 5+ years of process R&D, and excellence in remote collaboration and reporting.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering with focus on process development.
5+ years of chemical process R&D experience, including lab work and pilot plant operations.
Proficiency in process simulation, modeling, and data analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize, design, and develop novel chemical processes and optimize existing ones for yield, efficiency, and sustainability.
Use process simulation software (Aspen Plus, PRO/II) and data analytics to model and predict behavior.
Plan and execute lab and pilot-scale experiments to validate designs and collect data.
Prepare technical reports, summaries, and feasibility studies for new initiatives.
Collaborate with scientists, PMs, and engineers across time zones using virtual platforms.
Troubleshoot challenges during development and scale-up.
