Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to conduct professional fee coding audits and provide detailed rationale for changes using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers. This fully remote, flexible role supports regulatory updates and coder education while handling multiple cases with professionalism and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of professional fee coding/auditing, CPC certification, and experience with Epic/Cerner EMRs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.
• CPC certification is required.
• CPMA is preferred.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic and Cerner.

Responsibilities

• Performs Professional Fee coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides rationale explaining changes with references and documentation locations.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Provides coder education via auditing process.
• Adhere to AHIMA's code of ethics.
• Demonstrates professionalism, flexibility and strong commitment to client service.
