ElevenLabs is seeking an experienced U.S.-based Privacy Counsel to join our Legal Team as we scale globally. You will advise on privacy, data protection, and AI governance across products and operations, partnering with product, engineering, and GTM teams to ensure compliant, responsible innovation.

You will lead DPIAs, data transfer assessments, and vendor/privacy provisions, while monitoring evolving frameworks across jurisdictions. Remote in the United States, with preference for Eastern time.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and active admission to a US state bar (New York preferred).
• 6+ years of privacy compliance and data governance experience.
• Experience advising AI/tech or SaaS companies on global privacy.
• Familiarity with biometric privacy, HIPAA, and cross‑border data transfers.

Responsabilités

• Advise on global privacy and data protection laws (CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, etc.).
• Assess privacy risks for AI systems and biometric data.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to implement privacy‑by‑design.
• Conduct DPIAs and related documentation.
• Support data protection terms in customer agreements and DPAs.
• Monitor evolving privacy/regulatory developments and translate into guidance.
• Help maintain privacy policies and governance frameworks.
• Assist with regulatory inquiries, audits, and incidents.
