Job summary

Pure Infusion in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Prior Authorization Specialist to navigate payer policies, step therapy, and paperwork so patients receive timely treatment. You will manage a caseload of active authorizations and coordinate with Salesforce, WeInfuse, and AMD to keep cases moving.

This role rewards analytical thinking, cross‑functional collaboration with providers and clinical teams, and precise documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of Medical Assistant experience with prior authorization and biologic therapy.
• Certification or formal Medical Assistant training is required.
• Strong experience with Salesforce, WeInfuse and AMD systems.

Responsibilities

• Process prior authorizations accurately, including step therapy and payer requirements.
• Manage appeals/denials, escalate when needed, and follow payer protocols.
• Verify benefits and determine INN/OON status across payers/states.
• Document all case conversations in Salesforce within required timeframes.
• Collaborate with PACs, clinical staff, and sales to gather case information.
