Job summary

Pure Infusion seeks a detail-oriented Prior Authorization Specialist to streamline the authorization process, interpret medical documentation, and ensure timely patient access to infusion therapies.

You will handle a caseload of active authorizations, navigate Salesforce, WeInfuse, and AMD, and collaborate with clinical teams to move cases forward. This role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and problem-solving in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of Medical Assistant experience with prior authorization and biologic therapy exposure.
• Certification or formal MA training is required.
• Strong experience with Salesforce, WeInfuse and AMD.

Responsibilities

• Process prior authorizations accurately, including step therapy and payer requirements.
• Manage appeals and denials, escalating when needed.
• Review policies and obtain documentation to align cases with policy.
• Verify benefits and determine INN/OON status across payers/states.
• Document conversations and updates in Salesforce within deadlines.
