You will act as the department's insurance and reimbursement expert, handling benefit investigations, prior authorizations, appeals, and payer communications while collaborating with

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in infusion, rheumatology, oncology, or medical insurance coordination.
• Experience with physician-administered medications and buy-and-bill reimbursement.
• Extensive knowledge of benefit investigations and prior authorizations.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies.
• Experience with manufacturer copay assistance and charitable programs.
• Experience using NextGen.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, revenue cycle, and external infusion facilities.
• Provide timely updates regarding authorization status and payer changes.
• Maintain documentation in the EHR including benefit investigations and prior authorizations.
• Assist with appeals and financial assistance where applicable.
