Job summary

Natera seeks a Supervisor, Prior Authorization to oversee the Prior Authorization Denials & Appeals, PA360, and PA Mismatch teams within the Billing Operations department. You will ensure timely, compliant authorizations, coach staff, and monitor KPIs across domestic and offshore workers.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Billing and Insurance Verification, driving improvement initiatives, and maintaining high-quality, efficient authorization workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional experience in healthcare-related field.
• 3+ years in healthcare revenue cycle with prior authorization exposure.
• 1+ year in a supervisory or team-lead role.
• Strong understanding of payer authorization requirements and denial/appeal processes.
• Comfortable analyzing data and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Prior Authorization Denials & Appeals, PA360, and PA Mismatch teams.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for domestic and offshore staff.
• Monitor KPIs: productivity, turnaround times, case resolution, quality, backlog.
• Lead review and resolution of denials, coordination of appeals, and corrective actions.
• Identify discrepancies and optimize authorization workflows to avoid delays.
• Ensure workload balance across teams and effective escalation handling.
• Collaborate with Billing, Insurance Verification, and Denials & Appeals to improve end-to-end workflows.
• Partner with offshore leads to align on processes and training.
• Drive root-cause analysis and implement paid workflow improvements.
• Ensure adherence to payer-specific requirements, policies, and regulations.
• Conduct quality reviews and maintain compliance with SOPs.
• Prepare and communicate performance reports highlighting trends and opportunities.
• Support development of standardized workflows and training materials.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and staff development initiatives.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable team culture focused on excellence.
