Job summary

Atlassian is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead the LLM inference platform, driving technical strategy, governance, and cross-functional execution. You will oversee GPU capacity planning, model migrations, and benchmarking for open-weight models while building scalable cost-per-token efficiency across the organization.

The role requires strong technical judgment, structured execution, and the ability to navigate ambiguity as the platform matures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years on software teams as a Development Manager or TPM.
• 3+ years on ML, AI platform or large-scale infrastructure programs.

Responsibilities

• Set a long-term strategy and roadmap for the LLM inference platform across Engineering, Product, Security and Finance.
• Translate business goals into ranked technical problems (cost per token, latency, throughput, reliability, model coverage).
• Define and run programs for GPU capacity planning, inference optimization, and model migrations.
