Job summary

Dexian is seeking an experienced Principal Systems Analyst to join our remote, long-term contracting team supporting electronic trading analytics for a Capital Markets client. The role focuses on designing scalable, low-latency trading infrastructure, collaborating with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technical designs.

You will drive architecture discussions, model data flows, and oversee production and non-production

Qualifications

• 9+ years of Systems Analyst and Project Management experience.
• Hands-on software development experience.
• Experience in complex distributed systems, especially trading systems.
• Experience in SDLC tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments and scripting.
• Experience in AWS cloud patterns and deployments.
• Familiarity with AI developer assist tools and CI/CD tools.
• Capital Markets or trading analytics experience is a big plus.
• KDB+/Q experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Become a subject matter expert for electronic trading analytics applications.
• Lead system design and translate business requirements to technical details.
• Gather data by writing queries (KDB/Q) and analyze large data sets.
• Represent the development team in discussions with business stakeholders.
• Build architectural and system workflow diagrams.
• Break down and manage work items (JIRA epics and stories) for developers and QA.
• Support production and non-production environments and assist business support teams.
