Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Chief Software Engineer to lead enterprise-wide architectural initiatives and define long-term technology strategy. This role represents the highest level of technical contribution with deep expertise in system design and cross-organizational leadership.

The position entails mentoring senior engineers, driving modernization, and shaping the technology roadmap across global platforms, while ensuring reliability and security at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Ten or more years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven expertise designing distributed, high-scale systems in production.
• Advanced proficiency in Java, Go, C++, or similar backend languages.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, system optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience leading cross-team technical initiatives across multiple business units.
• Strong expertise in reliability engineering and distributed architectures.
• Demonstrated leadership in architectural decision-making at enterprise scale.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record of mentoring senior engineers and shaping engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise-level architectural standards and engineering guardrails.
• Lead design and implementation of scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Architect multi-region platforms with availability, durability, and recovery in mind.
• Drive modernization initiatives including microservices transformation and consolidation.
• Define API governance, data architecture, and service communication patterns.
• Design systems for extreme scalability, availability, and security.
• Evaluate high-performance data storage solutions for major workloads.
• Lead reliability engineering and incident response improvements enterprise-wide.
• Conduct deep architectural reviews and performance audits across platforms.
• Guide teams on concurrency, observability, and optimization strategies.
• Design observability and monitoring frameworks with cross-team consistency.
• Define DevOps, CI/CD, and automation strategy across teams.
• Partner with leadership and product management on technology roadmaps.
• Mentor staff and senior engineers and contribute to talent growth.
• Drive innovation and evaluate emerging technologies for strategic adoption.
• Lead resolution of critical system-level production issues requiring architectural insight.
