Job summary

Western Power Pool in the United States seeks a Principal Resource Adequacy Planning Engineer to lead SERVM studies (LOLE, ELCC) and engage stakeholders across the WRAP program, committees, and board.

You will translate complex analyses into clear reports, mentor engineers, and shape reliability planning for the Western Interconnect, with quarterly travel to HQ in Portland, OR when needed. Remote-friendly role for US candidates.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in resource adequacy or related fields.
• Hands-on SERVM experience with LOLE and ELCC.
• Ability to lead complex studies and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Lead WRAP resource adequacy studies and engage with participants, committees, and leadership.
• Translate analyses into clear reports, presentations, and board materials.
• Build strong member relationships and establish QA/QC standards.
• Represent WPP at meetings and industry forums.
• Provide technical mentorship and oversight of modeling work.
