Job summary

Advanced Solutions International is seeking a Principal Software Quality Assurance Engineer to define test strategy, build automation, and own the most challenging specifications. You will drive quality across multiple delivery streams, mentor teams, and collaborate with product, developers, and DevOps to ensure robust testing and early defect prevention.

The role emphasizes leadership through standards, architecture, and scalable testing practices, with strong SQL, API testing, and Azure

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Setting test and automation strategy across delivery streams.
• Owning the highest-risk specifications from refinement through release.
• Raising the standard across the portfolio with patterns, reviews and quality gates.
• Shaping the shared automation approach with the Test Automation team and building end-to-end coverage.
• Authoring advanced SQL to validate data integrity and open API integrations.
• Leading escaped-defect analysis and upstream prevention.
• Contributing to release-readiness and risk assessment during release calls.
• Mentoring senior and junior staff in testing judgment and technical rigor.
• Promoting shift-left testing with product, developers, DevOps, and architecture.
