Job summary

Advanced Solutions International (ASI) is seeking a Principal Software Quality Assurance Engineer to set test and automation strategy for a remote US team. You will own the most complex specifications, raise portfolio-wide quality, and mentor engineers across delivery streams.

The role requires 10+ years in software QA (3+ years at principal/lead level), expertise in web automation tools, API testing, and Azure-based data validation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software quality assurance or quality engineering
• 3+ years at principal/lead level with automation strategy
• Experience with modern web automation tools and strong scripting to build end-to-end coverage
• Experience architecting or directing a shared automation framework
• Experience with API testing tools and validating open API integrations
• Advanced SQL proficiency, especially on Azure SQL
• Knowledge of Azure components for testing deployments
• Experience with build/release pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Expert manual and exploratory testing judgment
• Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git

Responsibilities

• Set test and automation strategy and tooling direction for every delivery stream
• Own the highest-risk specifications from refinement through release
• Raise standards across the portfolio with testing patterns and quality gates
• Shape shared automation with the Test Automation team and define design direction
• Validate data, integration layers, and open API integrations
• Lead portfolio-level root-cause analysis of escaped defects
• Contribute to release-readiness decisions and risk assessments
• Mentor senior and junior staff in testing craft
• Promote shift-left testing with product, DevOps, and architecture
• Perform other duties as assigned
