Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Principal R&D/Product DVL Engineer - Power Integrity in Middletown, USA. You will act as a subject matter expert for power integrity and power delivery architectures, leading roadmaps for cables, busbars, and rack-level power solutions.

The role requires cross-functional leadership across engineering, product management, and manufacturing. You will define methodologies for modeling, measurement, and validation, mentor engineers, and contribute to strategic

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
Advanced degree preferred (MS/PhD).
Typically requires 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s; 8+ years with a Master’s; 5+ years with PhD.

Responsibilities

Define and drive the power integrity roadmap for high-density compute and data center power distribution platforms (800+ V DC and higher).
Lead system-level architecture trade studies for AC/DC power paths and rack-level delivery.
Establish modeling, simulation, measurement, and validation methodologies for impedance, parasitics, and transient behavior.
Create and review models using SPICE, Allegro, PowerDC, Ansys Q3D and related tools.
Correlate simulation results with lab measurements and close model-to-hardware gaps.
Serve as technical consultant to internal teams, customers, and suppliers on high-current, high-voltage design.
Translate customer pain points into product requirements and validation plans.
Lead technical reviews with customers and senior stakeholders; present complex concepts clearly.
Identify and resolve electrical issues via hands-on testing, root-cause analysis, and risk assessment.
Drive technical standards, design guidelines, and IP generation for power distribution products.
Mentor staff and junior engineers to raise power integrity capabilities.
