Lyric is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to shape the technical direction of our flagship initiatives. You will lead design and development of scalable, high-performance software systems, mentoring engineers and driving best practices across cross-functional teams.

This remote-US role requires 10+ years in software engineering and strong leadership with distributed architectures. The base salary range is $180,347.00–$270,521.00 per year.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering leadership of complex systems.
• Experience with JavaScript, Python, Java or C#, .NET preferred.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Deep understanding of architecture, design patterns, and distributed applications.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads end-to-end design and development of software solutions, including back-end and integrations.
• Collaborates with product managers, designers and engineers to define requirements and deliverables.
• Provides technical leadership and guides engineers to foster innovation and excellence.
• Drives architectural decisions and ensures coding standards and quality.
• Develops and maintains frameworks, libraries, and reusable components.
• Addresses technical challenges, optimizes performance, and ensures scalability.
• Mentors engineers on design, coding practices and system architecture.
• Keeps up with emerging technologies and advocates new tools and practices.
• Conducts code reviews to ensure quality and stability.
• Act as a technical evangelist at industry events and communities.
