Lyric is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to shape technical direction and drive engineering strategy across flagship initiatives. You will lead design and development of scalable systems, mentor engineers, and champion best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering leading design and development of complex systems.
• 10+ years of experience with JavaScript, Python, Java, or C# and expertise in development frameworks; .NET preferred.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field; advanced certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leads end-to-end design and development of software solutions, including back-end and integration components.
• Collaborates with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements, scope, and deliverables.
• Provides technical leadership to a team of engineers, fostering innovation and collaboration.
• Drives architectural decisions and ensures adherence to coding standards and quality principles.
• Develops and maintains frameworks, libraries, and reusable components to streamline development.
• Collaborates to address technical challenges, performance optimizations, and scalability.
• Mentors engineers on design, coding practices, and system architecture.
• Stays up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends; advocates new tools and methodologies.
• Conducts code reviews to ensure quality and stability.
• Acts as a technical evangelist at events and communities.
