Job summary

RTI International, an independent research institute, seeks a Principal Investigator/Senior Research Epidemiologist/Biostatistician based in Research Triangle Park, NC or remote for domestic telework. Qualifications

• Doctorate in epidemiology or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in multi-center clinical research.
• Experience in obtaining NIH and other federally funded grants is strongly preferred.
• 6+ years of FDA-regulated trials, including new drug and device studies.
• Demonstrated leadership in fostering growth in research funding, staff capabilities, and scientific excellence.

Responsibilities

• Serves as overall project leader for coordinating centers of multi-site clinical research projects, including randomized clinical trials.
• Provides senior leadership for operational and scientific aspects of the project, including study/trial design, protocol development, study implementation, site oversight, quality control, data analysis, and presentation of study results.
• Leads relationships with funding agencies/clients and the Data and Safety Monitoring Board.
• Guides multi-disciplinary project teams in data management and coordination center operations.
• Communicates with funding officials, site leadership, collaborators, central laboratories, and core facilities.
