Job summary

10a Labs is seeking a Principal Imminent Risk (Law Enforcement) Specialist to lead a 24/7 team while remaining hands-on. As the first hire, you will hire, onboard, and establish processes that ensure continuous coverage and high-quality threat assessment across shifts.

This fully remote, US-based role requires supervising multi-shift operations, coordinating with the client, and maintaining wellbeing within the team.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years in law enforcement or related work.
• Experience supervising shifts or teams.
• Experience building and managing schedules for shift work (multi-shift or 24/7 operations).
• Comfortable reviewing distressing material on a regular basis.
• Clear, confident communication with the Program Manager, team members, and client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the team’s success and run day-to-day operations across all three shifts, ensuring coverage.
• Cover senior specialist duties on the day shift: review and label content, handle edge cases and escalations, flag imminent-risk cases.
• Build and maintain the team's shift schedule, including PTO, sick coverage, and weekend on-call rotations.
• Stand up the team: run final interviews for Junior Specialists, onboard and train new hires, and set up team processes.
• Own quality assurance: run calibration sessions, review QA results, and address performance issues.
• Set up and maintain touchpoints with the evening and overnight teams, including outside normal hours when needed.
• Serve as 10a Labs' and the client's main point of contact.
• Support team wellbeing and the Program Manager to build a healthy, sustainable work environment.
