Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect for a remote US-based role (excl. HI/AK).

You will shape the enterprise technology vision from the CTO office, guiding cloud migrations, API design, and enterprise architectures across business domains. The role requires 15+ years in distributed cloud-native architectures, strong API/SQL-NoSQL skills, ReactJS familiarity, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience building scalable, multi-tier distributed cloud-native architectures.
• Experience designing APIs and integrations with external systems including third parties; familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience designing systems with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Good understanding of front-end UI frameworks like ReactJS; mobile app development is a plus.
• Experience designing secure systems using cybersecurity best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 15+ years of systems development and business experience designing solutions for multiple types of systems.
• 5+ years of technical experience in a specific domain for design, development and deployments.
• Experience in CRM, Marketing, Insurance/Claims, or Financial systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface with other teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate designs and build enterprise-wide solutions, collaborating with engineering, product, and program leaders.
• Provide direction to Application Integration, Data, and Platform architecture across the enterprise.
• Lead complex projects and contribute to the organization’s strategic vision.
• Develop migration strategies toward a cloud architectural vision and align with business needs.
• Partner with business leaders to deliver expert technical advice and influence decisions.
• Create roadmaps linking business strategies to capabilities and milestones.
• Deliver pragmatic architectures that meet immediate business needs.
• Learn new information quickly and operate effectively in a matrixed environment.
• Balance architecture principles with schedules, cost, and risk.
