Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a Principal DevOps Architect to provide technical leadership across enterprise DevOps, cloud architecture, containerization, software delivery, and automation. This fully remote role requires 15% travel and will partner with development, cloud, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions for government programs.

Qualifications

15+ years enterprise IT experience across architecture, cloud platforms, software development, and government programs.
Full-stack development with .NET 4 and .NET 8+, plus JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Vue.js.
Strong SQL skills, data modeling, and complex queries with performance tuning.
Experience with OIDC, SAML 2.0, and JWT authentication and secure software design.
Familiarity with AWS services and modern software delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

Define and implement DevOps and containerization best practices and automated release pipelines.
Lead training and instill best practices within the DevOps Engineering team.
Define, develop, and implement the configuration management system supporting the SDLC.
Manage source code in a Version Control System, including branching, syncing, merging, and packaging.
Collaborate with Cloud Services for installations, upgrades, deployments, and containerization.
Develop automation scripts for build, deployment, and versioning activities.
Ensure service delivery excellence by overseeing large, technically complex projects.
