Job summary

Humana is seeking a Principal Data Enterprise Architect to define and drive the enterprise data architecture vision. The role guides the transformation from legacy point-to-point integrations to a modern, domain-driven data product model that enables trusted, governed data across the organization.

You will partner with business and technology leaders to establish clear data ownership and scalable data capabilities. You will lead a remote-friendly team, with occasional travel to Humana offices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise or data architecture.
• Leadership in large-scale data transformation initiatives (data platforms, integrations, or migrations).
• Strong experience with data integration patterns, including APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud data platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to define enterprise roadmaps and execute across complex organizations.
• Expertise in data governance, data modeling, and systems of record.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define Enterprise Data Strategy & Architecture and evangelize the vision.
• Drive data product operating model with ownership, lifecycle, quality, and consumption models.
• Develop and execute a multi-year transformation roadmap to modernize data platforms and integrations.
• Lead adoption of scalable, event-driven, real-time data patterns.
• Establish governance frameworks and align with security, legal, and compliance.
• Align business and IT leaders on data ownership and migration to new data products.
• Provide architectural leadership across data, integration, and domain architecture teams.
