Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Principal Cyber Security Architect to lead security assessments for wind portfolio products, coordinating with wind product security teams and subsystem teams to ensure secure design and compliance with SDL and IEC 62443 standards.

The role requires deep OT cybersecurity expertise, threat modeling, and collaboration across engineering, projects, and R&D, with remote work options and travel up to 10–20% depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of cybersecurity/OT experience with at least 8 years in OT cybersecurity/product cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct cybersecurity assessments of wind turbine components, SCADA systems, Wind Farm software, and digital service platforms.
• Provide guidance on security controls per IEC 62443-4-1 and IEC 62443-3-3 during requirements, design, and validation phases.
• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for new/existing products and features.
• Identify vulnerabilities and provide remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security by design throughout the product lifecycle.
• Recommend wind-farm level security improvements across subsystems.
• Develop and manage new technologies to support assessments.
• Review customer docs to align with security requirements.
