Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in energy, HVAC, or central utility plant simulation modeling.
• 5+ years in HVAC design engineering or energy-saving projects.
• Experience with central utility plant components (chilled water, hot water, steam, storage).
• Understanding of building loads and energy calculations.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls and building automation systems.
• Familiarity with energy rate structures and business case analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits of central utility plants to analyze configuration, operation, and optimization opportunities.
• Develop, calibrate, and validate energy and central plant models to estimate savings.
• Apply engineering judgment to validate results and troubleshoot model performance.
• Utilize AI/ML-enabled analytics within OpenBlue to improve efficiency and performance.
• Lead commissioning to ensure OB CUP algorithms dispatch equipment optimally.
• Train plant managers and operators on OB CUP usage.
• Prepare customer-facing savings reports and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, software, and product teams to improve methodologies.
