Job summary

Circana is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to drive the design and implementation of a massively parallel processing (MPP) distributed database kernel. You will optimize for low latency, high throughput on multi-core hardware and vectorized systems, and enable in-database ML inference across terabyte/petabyte-scale datasets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year CS degree; Masters in HPC/Big Data preferred for senior roles.
• 12+ years of production C++ experience (C++17/20/23).
• Proven MPI + OpenMP distributed programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect distributed database kernel and cluster coordination.
• Develop low-level backend code in modern C++ for high throughput, low latency.
• Design and implement MPP execution engines across many nodes using MPI/OpenMP.
