Legend Biotech is seeking a Scientist/Sr. Scientist, Bioinformatics Data in Somerset, NJ, to bridge biological data with therapeutic insights. You will design and execute scalable computational pipelines for high-dimensional genomics analyses, contributing to discovery and clinical pipelines.

The role requires strong computational skills, experience with NGS data, and proficiency in R or Python. Collaboration with biology teams, IT, and clinical groups is essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Genomics, Biology, or a highly quantitative field.
• Proven experience handling genomic data (NGS data analysis) is required.
• Ability to turn raw biological data into structured insights.
• Strong experience with AI applications in data science.

Responsibilities

• Analyze diverse and large-scale genomic datasets (RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, WES/WGS, epigenetic, multi-omics) to identify biomarkers or targets.
• Apply advanced statistical, machine learning, and data-mining techniques to extract patterns from complex data.
• Perform QC, normalization, and batch correction across heterogeneous datasets.
• Design, optimize, and maintain scalable bioinformatics pipelines.
• Integrate public biological databases with internal datasets and translate findings for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT and other functional groups.
