Job summary

Indeed is the world’s number 1 job site, seeking a Software Engineer VI to act as Technical Fellow for the Interop space. You’ll own architectural direction across integration domains and partner with senior engineers, product leads, and executives to set technical strategy and scale B2B integrations.

You’ll guide documentation, create shared standards, and support a 40–50 engineer team. Successful outcomes include reliable integrations and clear architectural decisions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Math, CE, EE or related field with extensive experience, or equivalent.
• Experience designing service-oriented architectures, APIs and data platforms (SQL/NoSQL).
• Experience applying AI/ML to accelerate architecture, development velocity and integration quality at scale.
• Demonstrated ownership as a principal technical and product contributor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with influence across engineering, product and execs.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural assessment and simplification across multiple teams or domains.
• Partner with senior engineers, technical leaders, and business partners to guide decisions.
• Promote documentation and communication of architectural decisions and trade-offs.
• Translate needs and feedback into improvements for shared platforms, tools, or processes.
• Contribute code and design improvements to internal systems, upholding quality and maintainability.
• Influence architectural standards across the organization through collaboration and example.
