Job summary

Inspira Financial is seeking a Principal AI Operations Engineer to define and enforce telemetry and observability for enterprise AI systems. You will design evaluation and drift-detection frameworks, implement guardrails, and translate risk frameworks into operational controls across vendor-provided and in-house AI capabilities.

You will collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Privacy, and Security to ensure audit readiness and contribute to a scalable AI governance program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 8+ years telemetry-driven engineering experience, with LLM/ML in production.
• Certifications in relevant tooling are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise telemetry standard for AI systems.
• Build logging and observability layer for AI assets.
• Integrate telemetry with logging, APM, security monitoring.
• Establish data retention, redaction, masking, and access rules.
• Publish reference implementations and starter kits.
• Design evaluation framework with golden datasets and CI gates.
• Define drift criteria and guardrails for AI systems.
• Build runtime guardrails and cost/spend controls for agents.
• Create AI incident model and postmortem process.
