Job summary

First American’s Threat Detection Engineering team is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead architecture, development, and deployment of agentic security capabilities across the SOC. You will shape governance, data services, workload routing, and secure execution environments while maintaining auditable controls and strong human oversight.

You will mentor engineers, drive engineering standards, and collaborate with risk, privacy, legal, and compliance teams to deliver measurable security outcomes

Qualifications

• 10+ years cybersecurity experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CEH, GA etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and hands-on implementation of Agentic Security Operations across the SOC.
• Define reference architecture for governed data services and agent capabilities.
• Establish engineering standards for agents and capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and present complex decisions to leadership.
