Salesloft is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, AI to lead the design and build-out of our AI Context Layer, ensuring high-quality, well-governed context for AI agents. This role requires 12+ years of experience in software engineering and expertise in data-layer or search infrastructure.

You will collaborate with feature teams and drive architecture discussions while contributing to technology innovation that transforms revenue processes.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, focusing on data-layer or search infrastructure.
• Proven experience designing and building knowledge graphs and large-scale search systems.
• Deep expertise in RAG architectures and embedding-based retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and build-out of our AI Context Layer.
• Build the technical vision and roadmap for high-quality data products.
• Define and evolve APIs and SDKs for interaction with the context layer.

Skills

Professional software engineering experience

Designing knowledge graphs

Access control and RBAC design

Experience with Python and/or Java

Excellent communication skills
