Job summary

ButterflyMX is hiring a Principal AI-Native Software Engineer for a remote role in the USA. The position emphasizes leading AI-driven software development using Claude Code, with a core stack including TypeScript/Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP.

You will own multi-agent workflows, design scalable architectures, and drive end-to-end delivery from requirements to production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level Claude Code proficiency.
• Experience coordinating multiple AI agents or sessions in parallel.
• Production experience with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience with relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and document databases (MongoDB).
• Hands-on with cloud (AWS/GCP) and distributed systems.
• Experience applying AI/ML in production and building APIs.
• Strong CI/CD, testing, and code review practices.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-native development using Claude Code and multiple agents.
• Own end-to-end product delivery from requirements to production deployment.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to define technical specs and architecture.
• Ensure security, reliability, and maintainability across services.
