Job summary

Cayuse Holdings seeks an AI Native Engineer to implement features, agents, skills, and MCP integrations using Claude Code within a harness-led architecture set by senior engineers. This remote contract role focuses on hands-on development and integration work.

You will collaborate with the team across frontend and backend stacks (React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python) and deliver reliable, observability-enabled components on a 6–8 month engagement with renewal potential.

Qualifications

• Experience with Claude Code or similar agentic tooling.
• Proficiency in front-end React/TypeScript/JavaScript and backend Python.
• Strong AWS delivery experience across Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions, API Gateway, Bedrock.
• Knowledge of Terraform and Playwright for automation.
• Professional English fluency, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain harness components (retrieval, tool invocation, evaluation, observability) and contribute improvements to the base harness.
• Address architecture- and systems-level problems under senior review for progression.
