Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Sr. Principal Software and AI Engineer to join a leading Pharmaceuticals & Biotech client. You will design and deliver AI-enabled software to support clinical trial execution in a highly regulated environment.

You will lead architecture decisions, collaborate with clinical, technology, and compliance teams, and ensure reliability, governance, and data protection while advancing AI-native engineering practices. The role is remote within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in a relevant field.
• Master’s degree with 5+ years preferred.
• PhD with 3+ years considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and deploy AI-powered applications for clinical trial execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into clinical workflows.
• Define scalable architecture for multi-agent orchestration and LLMOps lifecycle.
• Establish best practices for AI-native development and continuous performance monitoring.
• Assess frontier models and agent frameworks while ensuring compliance with GxP and data privacy.
