Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Profee Coder to join a busy family practice clinic in a fully remote capacity. The role requires at least 1 year of Primary Care coding experience, including HCC diagnostics and annual/physical exams.

Certification through AAPC or AHIMA is required, with at least 6 months of production coding experience within a remote setting. Ideal candidates will have a strong grasp of E/M family practice coding, be able to work 8am-5pm AZ time, and reside in the United

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent experience in E/M Family Practice coding (clearly reflected in your attached resume).
• Must be currently certified through AAPC or AHIMA (AHIMA) or AAPC; is a coder role requiring at least 6 months of production coding experience.
• Six months providing professional coding services or related healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates medical records and assigns appropriate clinical diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Abstracts clinical diagnoses and documents information into EMR; seeks missing info for accurate code assignment.
• Provides quality assurance for medical records in line with coding rules and regulations.
