Job summary

Norwood is seeking a skilled Medical Coder specializing in Primary Care to review and code Preventive, Chronic, and Acute visits, ensuring accurate E/M coding and charge review.

Minimum 2 years in Primary/Family/Internal Medicine coding is required along with CPC certification. Remote opportunities are available, with travel expenses covered if needed. Eligible candidates must be authorized to work in the US, with competitive health benefits and PTO for full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional coding experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and E/M coding.
• Experience with Coding & Charge Review, Risk Code Validation (non-HCC), and Front-End & Pre-Billing Review preferred.
• Knowledge of payer rules, modifier usage, medical necessity, and clean-claim standards.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent AAPC credential required.
• Strong communication skills for provider and front-office collaboration.
• Adherence to HIPAA and organizational confidentiality standards.
