• Review and ensure completion of preoperative testing per guidelines.
• Identify risk factors and coordinate with anesthesia, surgery and other providers to optimize readiness.
• Educate patients on preoperative instructions and perioperative expectations.
• Document assessments and communications in the EMR.
• Communicate with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and other departments to clarify orders and missing documentation.
• Triage patient inquiries and coordinate follow-up.
