Job summary

Pie Insurance seeks a Premium Auditor I to perform standard premium audits across routine industries from remote locations in the United States. You will review payroll, tax returns, and financial docs to assure correct policy coverage and regulatory compliance.

You will apply NCCI classification codes, document findings, and communicate with insureds to gather needed documentation. Base pay ranges $55,000–$70,000 USD annually.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting workers' compensation premium audits.
• Working knowledge of NCCI classification systems and state bureau requirements.
• Experience working directly with business owners and financial personnel.
• Prefer multi-state audit experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct standard premium audits via mail, phone and virtual platforms.
• Review payroll records, tax returns and supporting financial documentation.
• Analyze business operations to identify exposures and ensure accurate coverage.
• Apply classification codes using NCCI PAAS guidelines and state rules.
• Document findings and prepare audit worksheets; meet regulatory guidelines.
