Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead the estimating, budgeting, and scheduling across design phases, from award through GMP and into construction readiness.

You will collaborate with Market Leads, BD & Procurement, design partners, and clients to develop accurate budgets and milestones, coordinate procurement, and ensure a smooth turnover to Operations. Strong leadership and client-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in estimating, preconstruction, or project management.
• Strong understanding of Design-Build, CMAR, and negotiated delivery methods.
• Experience preparing detailed construction cost estimates and GMP proposals.
• Demonstrated ability to lead client-facing meetings and present budget and schedule information.
• Procore and Bluebeam proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating team to produce accurate cost estimates across design phases.
• Manage project budgets from contract execution through GMP development.
• Develop preconstruction schedules from award through groundbreaking.
• Coordinate design team activities and lead constructability reviews.
• Manage the GMP development and owner presentations.
• Ensure turnover to Operations at project completion.
• Coordinate procurement planning for long-lead materials.
• Conduct constructability reviews.
• Monitor project risks and mitigation strategies throughout the preconstruction phase.
• Lead turnover meetings with Operations, Project Management, and Field Leadership.
